Wednesday 8th July was truly a day to remember as the whole Brook community came together for an action-packed Sports Day filled with energy, laughter and fantastic team spirit!
The sun was shining as children enthusiastically took part in a wide variety of exciting activities. From speedy running races and challenging hurdles to the ever-popular egg and spoon races, everyone gave their very best and cheered each other on every step of the way.
There was something for everyone to enjoy, including long jump, mini golf, football darts, football, basketball, and even smoothie making, where children created delicious healthy drinks after all their hard work!
One of the highlights of the day was seeing our wonderful parents join in the fun. It was fantastic to watch families taking part together, creating special memories and showing that sport is all about teamwork, encouragement and having fun.
The excitement didn’t stop there! Our amazing staff brought the house down with a hilarious inflatable costume race, which had children and adults laughing, cheering and clapping from the sidelines. It was certainly a race no one will forget!
Every single child participated with enthusiasm, determination and smiles from start to finish. Whether they were racing, jumping, scoring goals or supporting their friends, everyone demonstrated our Brook values of resilience, togetherness and equity.
A huge thank you to our staff, families and volunteers for helping to make Sports Day such a fantastic success. A very special shout-out goes to Katie Staten, whose hard work, dedication and careful planning made the entire day possible. From organising the activities to ensuring everything ran smoothly, Katie’s commitment helped create a truly memorable experience for every child and family. Thank you, Katie, for making the day such a tremendous success!
Most importantly, well done to all of our incredible children, you made us so proud!
