All students will have supervised break during the school day, indoors and outdoors. They will be provided with healthy snacks including fruits and flapjacks with water and diluted drinks with allergy notices. Students are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks but advised to avoid bringing high-energy drinks or snacks to school.
School will take any high-energy drink or snack away from students and provide them with an alternative.
Students will be provided with a healthy lunch prepared in our kitchen and use our dinner hall or eating zone to eat their lunch. They are welcome to bring a pack lunch if they do not wish to have the school dinner for the day. This must be a healthy lunch and not include fizzy drinks or snacks.
After students have eaten, they will go with their peers to the dedicated play area supervised by staff. Students may not leave the school site at lunchtime without staff permission.
Students may: use the school library, play ball games in the dedicated play area, relax in a supervised space or participate in the various clubs and societies operating at this time – subject to restrictions.
